CERIM WORKING SYSTEM FOR SHOES AND SOLES ROUGHING AND CEMENTING

The CERIM roughing and cementing system is a totally original development enabling
two operators to complete the operations that would have required 5 manual operators
previously. This major productivity gain is achieved in the following manner:
The first operator loads the lasted shoe into the K180 dual which automatically,
using a patented tooling system, on the first pass scours inside the lasted margin removing
any excess cement and material down to the insole, then on the second pass executes the
normal roughing operation. Following this, the machine automatically transfers the shoe to the
cementing station, which , depending on the requirements of the particular shoe, with either
one or two passes applied a first coat of either cement or primer.

The second operator loads the shoe into the K182 mix which cements the shoe with a second
pass of cement and then cements the sole using either spray or brush application depending on
sole construction, or halogenates the sole by brush
The CERIM system is suitable for any type of shoe and guarantees perfect sole
bond adhesion. The systems ability to deliver the correct volume of cement in two separate
operations avoids all the problems associated with drying or lack of drying caused by applying of two much cement at one station. In this way an accurate amount can always be applied in two operations compatible with the exact demands of the product. The system in full use gives the shoemaker the benefit of greatly improved sole bond quality without any
increases in production costs. The productivity gain from just two operators working a model
K180 dual and K182 mix - where at one pass 180 pairs per hour is achievable - more than
covers any initial cost.

WORKING CENTER FOR SHOE CEMENTING AND FOR APPLICATION OF CEMENT OR
HALOGENATING SOLVENT ONTO THE SOLE MODEL : K182 mix

Five programmable axis

Shoe bottom cementing

Available in two versions for soles:
(a). APPLICATION OF CEMENT BY SPRAY OR
BY BRUSH (LEATHER SOLES)
(b). APPLICATION OF HALOGENATING SOLVENT
STRICTLY BY BRUSH

- Maximum production: up to 180 pairs per hour.
- Two separate stations
- Two indepedent control system (shoe bottomcementing head/sole cementing or halogenating head). A fault in one head does not stop the other one
- The pressure can be adjusted as necessary round the shoe and the speed can be changed in the foreparts, waist and seat area in order to obtain optimum quality at optimum speed.
- No direct contact between the operator and the halogenating solvents.

- The machine has been ergonomically designed to inrease productivity
- It is capable of data transmission withing the ring system or CAD/CAM systems
- The Machine is self-diagnostic to assist fault finding
