CNC PANTOGRAPH MILLING MACHINE
PF2-A
The new PF2-A represents the latest generation of working centres related to
the numerical-control milling of the soles.
A high digital technology together with a special attention reserved to every
single component of the machine make it a true example of quality, reliability
and innovation in the field. This new machine has been planned to dig soles
so that you can successively inject in them an anti-slipperiness plastic material.
It has also been planned to mill the base of a heel and/or obtain welts from
entire soles (both made of leather or made of synthetic materials). The strong
structure of the machine has been completely made of electronically soldered
and stabilized steel. All the axes run on linear balls guides. These axis are
moved by brushless engines and by high precision ball screws of low noisiness.
The work top and the traslation units of the spindles have been made of alluminium
alloy which guarantees a lower weight, a lowerinertia togheter with a high speed
and an accuracy of the movements.
DESCRIPTION OF THE CICLE OF THE AUTOMATIC WORKING
The PF2-A has a vertical loader which is integrated it its structure and from
which the sole is collected through suctions and then put on the work top.
The sole is authomatically centred thanks to two "V" reference coaxial
frames (one at one end and one at the other side) or can be centred through
a V reference frame (on one end) and another lateral support (optional). These
are two different methods to fit the various shapes and dimensions both of the
milled and/or of the sheared soles.
After it's centring, the sole is blocked through a high depression at 950 mbar
(the intake work is done from the top itself). This suction is made possible
thanks to a vacuum pump of 2.25 kw (3 cv).
After the centrating of the sole, the "V" frames and the lateral supports
are retracted, so that the space around the sole is free and the cutters can
have a wide free movement.
If you want the "V" can remain there during the cutting and they can
help the blocking of the sole in case of a highly deep cutting or if there are
soles with a designed sole and the suction results to be ineffective.
Two indipendent spindles rapidly carry out the milling (the COMAS Company has
been the first one to adopt this system) generally using a small cutter to carry
out very narrow angular profilings and/or using a large cutter for a quick emptying.
For particular working it's possible to integrate:
- decoration head;
- nailer head
Operating head rapidly alternate without having to change tools or without inverting
the axes, guaranteeing the total absence of standstills.
When the cutting is finished the milled sole is taken again from the top through
the suctionS and is immediately replaced with a new sole which is to be milled.
A new sole which is to be milled. In the end a mechanized picker ( integrated
in the structure of the machine) stocks the soles carefully helping the operator
who has to load and unload the soles. If necessary the mechanized loading/picking
system can be deactivated through a switch so that the operator can load one
sole a time by hand.
THE NUMERICAL CONTROL
The PF2-A has got a modern digital numerical control, which is powerful and
easy to use.
The instructions are presented in a clear and simple way on its LCD color display
of 11" and the operator can easily work thanks to graphic sigus and windows
and also thanks to the wide keyboard with its 40 keys and its incorporated mouse.
So it will be very easy to work on machine board. From it you can easily bring
changes to the run of the milling, such ad widen, grip, move, rotate, scale
down, etc..
The changing to the sizes can also be possible on machine board and integrated
to the CN software.
THE CAD-CAM SYSTEM
It is available in standard 2D version (for on-level cuttings or for cuttings
of medium complexity) or in advanced 3D version (for very complex three-dimensional
cuttings). The CAD is furnished with the software module for the mechanized
centring of the sole considering the machine references, and optionally, with
a software module for the changing of the sizes.
The acquisition of the shape of the sole can be realized through:
- graphic device INTUOS A 3 (optional)
- digitizer 2D of high resolution (optional)
- high -resolution scanner and vector software module (optional)
For those who already have a CAD-CAM system and want to use it with
the PF2-A, the COMAS can supply its own software which can be used to change
the files in a standard format DXF (a program made for the PF2-A).
